LeadSafeRules is an independent guide to rental lead-safe certificate and disclosure rules. Every rule page links an official source and shows when we last checked it. We are not a government website and this is not legal advice.

What we publish

Plain-English city and state summaries, checklists, a free tracker and Deadline Autopilot, and licensed inspector directories imported from public state registries (companies, not individuals).

What we refuse to invent

Fines, certificates, or ordinances that are not in an official source. If Illinois has no routine rental lead certificate, we say so — then point you to federal and state disclosure duties and Autopilot for portfolio tracking.

Who it is for

Landlords, building managers, and property managers who need deadlines and licensed inspectors — and inspectors who want exclusive Featured placement (max 3 per city).
